Will Maurer - Principal Consultant

Will is the founder and Principal Consultant for MTC. He has nearly twenty years of experience in talent acquisition, system creation, organizational development, competency-based hiring, and recruitment strategies. Having built talent functions at two Fortune 500 companies, he enjoys bringing the best and brightest talent optimization tools to the workforce to improve inclusivity, decision-making, and retention—from developing hiring processes, improving operational efficiency and mitigating adverse impact, he brings a host of unique and creative ideas to help other organizations solve their toughest talent challenges. 

Prior to the launch of MTC, Will spent several years as a talent professional in both agency and corporate environments. He is highly experienced in technical, financial, manufacturing, and executive recruiting. He serves as a talent acquisition and human resources consultant to organizations looking to take their talent practices to the next level. 

Will attended Michigan State University, has several talent industry certifications, and is always looking for new learning opportunities to sharpen his skills. In 2023, he was named “One of West Michigan’s Notable Leaders in DEI”. He has also been a featured speaker at several talent conferences including SourceCon, ERE, LinkedIn Talent Connect, Disrupt HR and others. 



Will has lived and worked in various communities throughout Michigan and now calls West Michigan home. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family.
